Last night's supper, sliced vine tomato with Greek style cheese. Sprinkled with a little sea salt and black pepper, then topped with a drizzle of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. A beautiful mix of flavours contrasting with one another; the sweetness of the tomato, the creamy acidity of the cheese, and the seasoning flavours and textures, made for a delicious and nutritious snack. Better than what I usually eat when the Late Night Munchies strike.....All ingredients from Aldi, total cost of this supper, approximately 35p.I have wanted to start a food blog for some time - mainly for our own family, as we often can't think of what to have come mealtime, and also, sometimes the food we make is actually really tasty, but often it gets forgotten about afterwards, so the blog will serve as a memory aid! I love to save money, time, effort and gas/electric, when making our food, and will share any brilliant buys discovered along the way. This is ordinary food for an ordinary family!
